We are pretty excited so we had to share with everyone... We received a new wireless 3 meter endoscope last week and have started using it on our patients. The procedure is performed standing, under sedation. The scope is passed through the horse's nostril, down the esophagus and into the stomach. This is the only definitive way to diagnose gastric ulcers in a horse. Over 60% performance of horses are affected by gastric ulcers. Non-performance horses and foals may also be affected. Please call us if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment.
