Equine Chiropractic

Animal chiropractic is a field that focuses on the preservation and health of the animal’s neuromuscular skeletal system. Anything adversely affecting the nervous system and the spine will have detrimental effects that resonate throughout the entire body. If abnormalities occur, your horse can lose normal mobility; resulting in stiffness, tension, pain and organ dysfunction. Dr. Harris performing chiropractic work

The goal of an animal chiropractor is to restore function and mobility to compromised vertebra to re-establish neurologic transmissions. This results in benefits of a superior immune function, healthier metabolism, and a vibrant nervous system that facilitates your horse’s natural ability to heal.

Animal chiropractic is not meant to replace traditional veterinary care, but rather an integrative method that when used in conjunction with traditional veterinary care can help restore and maintain the horse’s strength, vigor, and well being. Maintaining proper structural alignment also permits optional function of muscles, nerves, and tissue supporting joints, resulting in improved movement, stance, endurance, and flexibility.

Dr. Harris has nearly 10 years experience in animal chiropractic, spinal manipulation, and rehabilitation. She is a certified member of the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.

Dr. Harris also does small animal chiropractic.  And, she does house calls and farm visits!
